The CHES PTA is working with No Más Lágrimas/No More Tears, a local organization, to help provide food to families in Ithaca.
Here is how you can participate
1. Go to the No Más Lágrimas website (https://nmlagrimas.wordpress.com) and find out about all the great work they are doing in Ithaca.
2. Decide which option works for your family: donate food items or money or get food by attending a Thursday pick-up.
Give Food:
Canned or frozen food can be dropped off at CHES during the weeks of January 19-22 and January 25-29. Most needed food items include pantry staples such as rice, sugar, oil, coffee; pasta and dry cereal and frozen fruit and vegetables. Non-perishables can be brought any day of the week, but frozen foods should be brought Thursday mornings. There will be a bin outside the main entrance where you can deposit your items. This can be done anytime between 7am and 4pm.
Monetary donations can be made either directly through the No Más Lágrimas website or by dropping a check off at the school. Checks should be made out to No Mas Lagrimas/No More Tears.
Receive Food:
Food can be obtained at the Thursday food distribution located at 706 W. Buffalo St, 2-4:30pm. There is plenty for everyone!
