Read moreCHES PTA is partnering with Oliver Payne Greenhouse, the same nursery that grew our gorgeous fall mums, for a spring hanging basket sale. The baskets are 10" white baskets and the plants are 20-24" across. There are seven different types to choose from and there is a discount if you purchase more than one basket. The money raised will help support PTA programs such as yearbooks, staff appreciation and spirit wear.
One free basket is available to each staff member using the "Staff Appreciation Basket" option. This is to thank all of our staff for the wonderful job they have done this year.
Baskets will be available for pickup at CHES on Wednesday, May 19th, 2021 in the afternoon.
To see pictures of the baskets and order click here. Please contact Heather Beasley at: beasley@umich.edu with any questions.

The CHES PTA is working with No Más Lágrimas/No More Tears, a local organization, to help provide food to families in Ithaca.
Here is how you can participate
1. Go to the No Más Lágrimas website (https://nmlagrimas.wordpress.com) and find out about all the great work they are doing in Ithaca.
2. Decide which option works for your family: donate food items or money or get food by attending a Thursday pick-up.
Give Food:
Canned or frozen food can be dropped off at CHES during the weeks of January 19-22 and January 25-29. Most needed food items include pantry staples such as rice, sugar, oil, coffee; pasta and dry cereal and frozen fruit and vegetables. Non-perishables can be brought any day of the week, but frozen foods should be brought Thursday mornings. There will be a bin outside the main entrance where you can deposit your items. This can be done anytime between 7am and 4pm.
Monetary donations can be made either directly through the No Más Lágrimas website or by dropping a check off at the school. Checks should be made out to No Mas Lagrimas/No More Tears.
Receive Food:
Food can be obtained at the Thursday food distribution located at 706 W. Buffalo St, 2-4:30pm. There is plenty for everyone!

The theme for January is Winter Fun. Michelle Woods will be collecting pictures at photos@chespta.net. Submit your pictures and then stay tuned to see your friends and classmates having their own winter fun!
Join in on the fun on Sunday afternoons! Most Sunday afternoons at 4pm we have a presenter lined up to lead a workshop. Check the calendar for the list of workshops and the meeting link. January workshops include Junior Jazzercise with Ms. Coller and storytime with Mr. Megivern. It’s a fun way to end the weekend and see some friends, while staying warm and cozy inside.
